 제가 이번에 소개해 드릴곡은 미국의 싱어송라이터 프린스 로이스의 정규 4집 앨범 Double Vision (Deluxe Edition)에 8번트랙에 수록되어있는 'extraordinary'입니다.

 

 

전체적으로 컨템포러리 R&B (곡 스타일, 창법)와 펑키하고 그루비한 팝의 리듬, 힙합과 일렉트로 팝, 그리고 예의 친근한 바차타와 라틴 팝의 요소가 적절히 펼쳐져 있는데, 각 곡을 채우는 탁월한 선율의 매혹과 세련된 편곡은 이 웰메이드 팝의 바탕이 된다. 무엇보다 각 요소들의 뛰어난 균형미는 로이스가 말한 ‘더블 비전’의 멋진 시너지가 되어 편안하게 귀에 감겨온다.
